Instance Domains

Last updated on May 13, 2025

You can now request additional domains for your production instances! To do so, simply submit a request with your preferred domain name, and we'll take care of the rest. Once the setup process is complete, the domain will be added to your list and activated promptly.

Domains Tab

Enhance and manage your instance's domains with ease using this tab. To request or set up your domains:

  1. Go to the Main Details page of your instance.
  2. Navigate to the 'Domains' tab.
  3. Click on the "Add Domain" button and complete the form.
  4. Select "Add Domain" to finalize the process.

The following table displays the input descriptions for requesting a Domain:

Input Label Type Required Description
Domain Name Text Field Yes Alternative domain for your instance.
Redirecting URL Text Field No Redirecting the URL of your domain.

Redirecting URL

You can include a redirect URL for any additional domains, allowing them to be used as the primary domain in the SSO (Single Sign-On) login flow, thus replacing the system domain.

With the ability to add domains and set a default one for production instances, the default domain is used for the SSO feature in the Console. However, sometimes, these domains have automatic redirection to their primary domains, resulting in 302 response codes during the SSO flow.

  • A 302 response code indicates that the API is requesting a redirection to a new URI, which interrupts the SSO process. Unfortunately, we cannot control API redirects directly (ensuring valid response codes like 200 or 401). To resolve this, we've introduced a feature allowing users to specify a redirect URL for any added domains. This redirect URL can be utilized as the primary domain in the SSO login process, replacing the system domain.
  • Additionally, if a domain without a redirect URL record returns a 302 response, we will display the updated link on a separate page, enabling users to retry the SSO login process.
