Organising Instances with Folders

Users can organise multiple Instances into folders, enabling them to group related Instances for better organisation. For example, a large company with multiple departments can group Instances according to the department they are used for. Another example would be a software development agency working on multiple client projects. The agency can group Instances into Folders assigned to its respective clients for a more efficient workflow. Creating a Folder

To create a folder:

1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
2. Select Add folder.
3. Fill out the form. See the table below for information about input requirements and descriptions.
4. Select Add folder at the foot of the drawer.

Moving an Instance across Folders

To move an Instance to another folder:

1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
2. Go to the folder containing the Instance you want to move.
3. Find the instance in the list or grid.
4. Open the instance’s menu and select Move to folder.
5. In the Move to Folder dialog, choose the Destination folder.
6. Select Move instance.

Updating a Folder

To edit a folder:

1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
2. Find the folder you want to update, open its menu and select Edit folder.
3. Change the folder name, tags or thumbnail in the drawer, then select Save changes. A folder has no Instances tab; to put an instance in a folder, use Move to folder from the instance’s menu.

Open the folder to see the instances in it.

Removing an Instance from a Folder

To remove an Instance from a folder:

1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
2. Go to the folder from which you want to remove the Instance.
3. Open the instance's menu, select Move to folder, and choose No folder. The instance moves to the main Instances page.
4. Select Move instance.

Deleting a Folder

To delete a folder:

1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
2. Find the folder you want to delete, open its menu and select Edit folder.
3. Select Delete folder, or choose Delete from the folder’s menu.
4. Finalise folder deletion on the confirmation modal.
