Creating an Email

To create an email:

  1. Navigate to the CMS from the main menu.
  2. Select Emails.
  3. Select ADD EMAIL.
  4. Fill out the forms across the following tabs:

    • Details
    • Header
    • Content
    • Preview

    The details for each tab are discussed in this document's subsequent sections.

  5. Select CREATE EMAIL.

Details

Use this tab to input basic details about your email. Input requirements and descriptions are displayed in the table below:

Input LabelTypeRequiredDescription
Email Name Input Field Yes Name of the email.
Layout Dropdown Field No Layout used by the email.
File Path File Explorer No File path of the email. Choose SELECT FOLDER to navigate to the directory where you want to store your email.
Delay Input Field No The notification delay in minutes. Use Liquid markup to set the value, e.g., schedule an email for 10 AM the next day: .
Locale Input Field No Liquid markup, which evaluates to the desired language code. Used for translations and date format.
Trigger Condition Code Editor No Liquid markup condition to control whether a notification is sent. Only allows delivery. If omitted, the notification is sent unless the email is disabled. The is checked after the delay.

Header

Use this tab to provide information about your email header. Input requirements and descriptions are displayed in the table below:

From Name Input Field Yes Name of the email sender
From Email Address Input Field Yes Email address of the sender
To Input Field Yes The email address to which the email is sent. You may provide multiple email addresses, separated by commas.
Reply To Email Input Field No The email address in the 'Reply To' field.
CC Input Field No The email address to which a carbon copy email is sent. You may provide multiple email addresses, separated by commas.
BCC Input Field No The email address to which a blind carbon copy email is sent. You may provide multiple email addresses, separated by commas.
Email Subject Input Field Yes Subject of the email.
Email Preheader Text Area No Preheader of the email, a small line of text that appears after the subject line in the email inbox.

Content

Use this tab to provide your email content. Input requirements and descriptions are displayed in the table below:

Preview

Use this tab to provide information for your email preview. Input requirements and descriptions are displayed in the table below:
