CRM System Fields

System fields are fields in the CRM whose pre-defined options are values a user can modify. These are the CRM fields classified as system fields:

  • Company Category
  • Company Type
  • Industry
  • Lead Source
  • Contact Category
  • Contact Type
  • Relationships

For example, a user may want to specify that a company they are adding as a new contact is 'ESG-compliant,' a company type that may not initially be on the list of available options. The user may then add this company type in the system fields and ensure the option is available for future use.

Adding a system field value

To add a system field value:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Choose the system field type you want to add by selecting its corresponding tab. For example, if you want to add an 'Industry Type', navigate to the 'Industry Type' tab.
  4. Select ADD.
  5. Fill out the form for adding a system field.
  6. Select ADD.

Updating a system field value

To update a system field value:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Choose the system field you want to edit by navigating to its corresponding tab.
  4. Find the system field value that you want to update and select its Edit row action link.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Deleting system field values

You can delete system field values using one of the following methods:

  • Deleting a system field value
  • Deleting multiple system field values

Deleting a system field value

To delete a system field value:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Choose the system field whose values you want to delete by navigating to its corresponding tab.
  4. Find the system field value you want to delete and select its Delete row action link.
  5. Finalize the deletion of the system field value using the confirmation modal.

Deleting multiple system field values

To delete multiple system field values:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Choose the system field whose values you want to delete by navigating to its corresponding tab.
  4. Find the system field values you want to delete and tick their corresponding checkboxes. Ticking the topmost checkbox selects all system field values.
  5. Select the Delete option on the bulk actions button.
  6. Select APPLY.
  7. Finalize bulk-deleting the system field values using the confirmation modal.
