Email Notifications Introduction

The Instance environment ('Staging' or 'Production') has an impact on your email notifications. Please be aware of the type of instance you are working on when configuring and testing email notifications.
Staging Instance
This is the instance you use when building your application or trying out new features. All outbound emails for this type of Instance are suppressed, enabling you to safely test the system without accidentally sending emails to end-users. To receive outbound emails, you must set the recipients from the Instance settings.
Production Instance
This is your live application. Be very careful in making changes or building on this Instance. The best practice is to make changes on a staging Instance, review and test for errors and ensure stability. Then you can safely and confidently push the updates to the Production Instance. There is no email suppression on a production Instance.
