Connect a GitHub repository to your instance with the Insites GitHub App. Every push to the watched branch deploys to your instance automatically.

Connecting a repository

To connect a repository:

1. Connect CloudShell to your AI assistant and select your instance.
2. Ask your AI assistant: Connect GitHub to my instance.
3. Open the one-time install link it gives you. The link expires after ten minutes.
4. Install Insites CloudShell on the account or organization that owns the repository. Choose Only select repositories and pick the one repository for this instance.
5. Ask your AI assistant: Which repository is connected?

Git Repository settings in the admin

The Git Repository screen under Integrations stores the address of your repository and the SSH key ID the instance uses to reach it. Only the key ID is shown. The private key is never shown again.

Turning on syncing of CMS changes to Git is not available yet. If you try, the screen says that syncing arrives in a later release, and your repository stays connected. Turning syncing off always works.

Checking deploys

Ask your AI assistant about any deploy in plain language, for example: Did my last push deploy? Each deploy shows its commit, its status and when it ran. GitHub deploys also appear in the deployment history of your instance.
