Importing and Exporting Carts

Efficient cart data portability is critical for high-speed store operations. By using structured import and export tools, you can bypass manual entry to migrate active sessions, audit abandoned carts, or perform bulk testing. This ensures that important data is moved between environments with absolute precision.

Importing Carts

To import carts:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Select the overflow menu (), then select Import Carts.
  4. Select the CSV Template link on the 'Import Carts' modal to download the CSV template.
  5. Use the CSV template to guide you in creating an import file that matches the input requirements in Insites.
  6. When your CSV file is ready, return to the 'Import Carts' modal by executing steps #1 - #3.
  7. Use the clickable area on the modal to upload your CSV file.
  8. Select IMPORT CARTS.

The input requirements for importing carts into your Instance are as follows:

Input Label Type Required Description
UUID
String No Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) for the cart. Leave blank for new imports; include it to update or overwrite existing carts.
Contact UUID String No Associates the cart with a specific individual in your CRM.
Company UUID String No Links the cart to a B2B company account.
Session ID String No Connects the cart to an active web session. This ensures the customer's items remain consistent as they navigate your store.

Exporting Carts

To export carts:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Select the overflow menu (), then select Export Carts.
