Locator System Fields

Locator system fields come with common pre-defined values you can customize for your particular application and requirements. The locator has ten system fields you can configure for your project.

Configuring a system field category

System field categories appear as the tab titles when you view the system fields in the locator. You can configure these categories to fit your requirements. To configure a system field category:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Select CONFIGURATION.
  4. Make changes to the system field category you want to update.
  5. Select SAVE.

Adding a system field item

To add a system field item:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Navigate to the tab corresponding to the system field category to which you want to add a system field item.
  4. Select ADD FIELD.
  5. Fill out the field for adding a system field item.
  6. Select ADD FIELD.

Updating a system field item

To update a system field item:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Navigate to the tab corresponding to the system field category that contains the system field item you want to update.
  4. Find the system field item you want to update and select its Delete row action link.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Deleting system field items

You can delete system field items using one of two methods:

  • Deleting an individual system field item
  • Deleting system field items in bulk

Deleting an individual system field item

To delete a system field item:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Navigate to the tab corresponding to the system field category that contains the system field item you want to delete.
  4. Find the system field item you want to delete and select its Delete row action link.
  5. Finalize the system field item deletion using the confirmation modal.

Deleting system field items in bulk

To delete system field items in bulk:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select System Fields.
  3. Navigate to the tab corresponding to the system field category containing the items you want to delete.
  4. Select the system field items you want to delete using their checkboxes. Ticking the topmost checkbox selects all system field items.
  5. Confirm that the 'Delete' option is selected in the bulk actions dropdown button.
  6. Select APPLY.
  7. Finalize the deletion of the system field items using the confirmation modal.
