Managing Categories

This article the following aspects of managing your locator categories:

Updating a category

To update a category:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select Categories.
  3. Find the category that you want to update and select its Edit row action link.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Select SAVE.

Disabling categories

To disable categories:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select Categories.
  3. Select the categories you want to disable using their checkboxes. Ticking the topmost checkbox selects all categories.
  4. Select Bulk Actions , then select Disable.
  5. Select APPLY.
  6. Finalize disabling the categories using the confirmation modal.

Enabling categories

To enable previously-disabled categories:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select Categories.
  3. Select the filter at the top of the page, then select Disabled.
  4. Select the categories you want to restore using their checkboxes. Ticking the topmost checkbox selects all categories.
  5. Select Bulk Actions , then select Enable.
  6. Select APPLY.
  7. Finalize enabling the category using the confirmation modal.

Using categories

To associate a location with a category:

  1. Navigate to the Locator from the main menu.
  2. Select Locations.
  3. Find the location you want to associate with a category and select its Edit row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Details' tab
  5. Select a category on the 'Category' dropdown field.
  6. Select SAVE to finalize your changes.
Note

A location can only be associated with one category.
