Managing Order Items

Order items are specific products or services associated with an order. Multiple order items can be associated with an order.

Viewing order items

To view order items:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order containing the order items you want to view and select its Items row action link.

Adding an order item

You can add the following types of order items:

  • Custom Line Item
  • Ecommerce Product

Custom Line Item

To add a custom line item to an order:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order to which you want to add a custom order line item and select its View row action link.
  4. Select the dropdown () on the ADD ITEM button.
  5. Select Add Custom Line Item.
  6. Fill out the form for adding a custom line item.
  7. Select ADD ITEM.

The input requirements and descriptions for adding a custom line item to the order are as follows:

Input Label Type Required Description
Item Name Input Field Yes Name of the item.
Item Image Upload Field No Image of the item.
SKU Input Field No SKU of the item.
Quantity Number Field Yes Quantity of the item.
Unit Price Number Field Yes Price of the item.
Fixed Tax Amount Toggle No Enables the application of a fixed tax amount to the transaction. When enabled, the 'Tax Amount' field allows you to enter a specific monetary value (e.g., $5.00) instead of a percentage. This feature is useful when you charge a fixed tax fee regardless of the transaction amount.
Tax(%) Number Field No Tax incurred for the item.
Item Tax Display Field No Displays the tax amount applied to the item.
Item Price Display Field No Displays the price of the item after taxes.
Line Item Tax Display Field No Displays the tax amount applied to the line item.
Line Item Total Display Field No Displays the total amount of the line item.

Ecommerce Product

To add an ecommerce product to an order:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order to which you want to add an ecommerce product item and select its View row action link.
  4. Select ADD ITEM.
  5. Fill out the form for adding an ecommerce product to the order.
  6. Select ADD ITEM.

The input requirements and descriptions for adding an ecommerce product as a line item to the order are as follows:

Product Dropdown Field Yes Product from the list of existing products in the Ecommerce database.
Product UUID Display Field No Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) of the product.
Item Name Input Field Yes Name of the item.
Item Image Upload Field No Image of the item.
SKU Display Field No Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) of the item.
Quantity Number Field Yes Quantity of the item.
Unit Price Number Field Yes Price of the item.
Fixed Tax Amount Toggle No Enables the application of a fixed tax amount to the transaction. Updating an order item

To update an order item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order containing the order item you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Find and select the order item you want to update.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Removing an order item

Order items added to the order from the list of products in the Ecommerce database can be removed from an order. To remove an order item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order containing the order item you want to remove and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Find the order item you want to remove and select its overflow menu (). The system automatically displays the 'Remove' option if your selected order item is an ecommerce product.
  6. Select Remove Item.
  7. Finalize the removal of the order item using the confirmation modal.

Deleting an order item

Order items added to the order as a custom line item can be deleted from an order. To delete an order item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Find the order containing the order item you want to delete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Find the order item you want to delete and select its overflow menu (). The system automatically displays the 'Delete' option if your selected order item is a custom line item.
  6. Select Delete Item..
  7. Finalize the deletion of the order item using the confirmation modal.
