Managing Profiles

This document guides you through the various aspects of managing a profile. The following topics are discussed:

  • Updating a profile
  • Assigning a contact to a profile
  • Removing a profile from a contact
  • Deleting a profile

Updating a profile

To update a profile:

  1. Navigate to Permissions from the main menu.
  2. Select Profiles.
  3. Find the profile you want to update and select its Edit row action link.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Select SAVE.

Assigning a contact to a profile

There are two ways of assigning a contact to a profile:

  • Assigning a profile upon contact creation
  • Assigning a profile by updating a contact

Assigning a profile upon contact creation

To assign a profile upon contact creation:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Select ADD CONTACT.
  4. Fill out all the forms for adding a contact.
  5. Navigate to the 'Profiles' tab.
  6. Select ASSIGN PROFILES.
  7. Use the form to choose the profiles that you want to assign to a contact.
  8. Select ASSIGN PROFILES when you are done assigning profiles to the contact.
  9. Select ADD CONTACT to save your contact.

Assigning a profile by updating a contact

To assign a profile by updating a contact:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Find the contact you want to assign a profile to and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Profiles' tab.
  5. Select ASSIGN PROFILES.
  6. Select the profiles you want to assign to the contact.
  7. Select ASSIGN PROFILE.
Note

Please take note of the following system behaviors and functions:


  • Selecting VIEW PROFILES takes you to the page displaying all profiles in 'Permissions.'
  • You can assign and update profiles only for active contacts.

Removing a profile from a contact

You may remove a profile (or multiple profiles) from a contact if you no longer have use for it. Note that there are two ways of removing profiles from a contact. We discuss each in their corresponding subsection:

  • Removing a profile from a contact in the CRM
  • Removing a profile from a contact in Permissions

Removing a profile from a contact in the CRM

To remove a profile from a contact in the CRM:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Select the contact from whom you want to remove a profile and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Profiles' tab.
  5. Find the profile you want to remove from the contact and select its REMOVE row action link.
  6. Finalize the removal of the profile from the contact using the confirmation modal.

Removing a profile from a contact in Permissions

To remove a contact from a profile in Permissions:

  1. Navigate to Permissions from the main menu.
  2. Select Profiles.
  3. Find the profile containing the contacts you want to remove and select its Edit row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Contacts' tab.
  5. Find the contact you want to remove from the profile and select its Remove row action link.
  6. Finalize the removal of the contact from the profile on the confirmation modal.

Deleting a profile

To delete a profile:

  1. Navigate to Permissions from the main menu.
  2. Select Profiles.
  3. Find the profile you want to delete and select its Delete row action link.
  4. Finalize the deletion on the confirmation modal.
Important

You need to remove contacts from a profile before you can delete a profile.
