Updating tasks

This section discusses three ways of updating a task:

  • Updating tasks using the 'Tasks' main menu item.
  • Updating tasks assigned to a company.
  • Updating tasks assigned to a contact.

Updating tasks using the 'Tasks' main menu item

To update tasks using the 'Tasks' main menu item:

  1. Navigate to Tasks from the main menu.
  2. Select one of the following menu items:

    • My Tasks
    • All Tasks

    Selecting My Tasks lets you view all tasks assigned to you while selecting All Tasks lets you view tasks assigned to all users.

  3. Select the task you want to edit.
  4. Select EDIT.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Updating tasks assigned to a company

To update tasks assigned to a company:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu
  2. Select Companies.
  3. Find the company whose task you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to update.
  6. Select EDIT.
  7. Make your changes.
  8. Select SAVE.

Updating tasks assigned to a contact

To update tasks assigned to a contact:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Find the contact whose task you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to update.
  6. Select EDIT.
  7. Make your changes.
  8. Select SAVE.

Adding comments to a task

This section discusses three ways of adding a comment to a task:

  • Adding comments to a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item.
  • Adding comments to tasks assigned to a company.
  • Adding comments to tasks assigned to a contact.

Adding comments to a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item

To add comments to a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item:

  1. Navigate to Tasks from the main menu.
  2. Select one of the following menu items:

    • My Tasks
    • All Tasks

    Selecting My Tasks lets you view all tasks assigned to you while selecting All Tasks lets you view tasks assigned to all users.

  3. Select the task to which you want to add a comment.
  4. Select ADD COMMENT.
  5. Write your comment on the form. You may also attach files to the comment.
  6. Select SAVE.

Adding comments to tasks assigned to a company

To add comments to a task assigned to a company:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu
  2. Select Companies.
  3. Find the company whose task you want to add a comment to and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the company's Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to add a comment to.
  6. Select ADD COMMENT.
  7. Write your comment on the form. You may also attach files to the comment.
  8. Select SAVE.

Adding comments to tasks assigned to a contact

To add comments to a task assigned to a contact:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Find the contact whose task you want to comment on and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the contact's Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to add a comment to.
  6. Select ADD COMMENT.
  7. Write your comment on the form. You may also attach files to the comment.
  8. Select SAVE.

Completing tasks

This section discusses three ways of completing a task:

  • Completing a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item.
  • Completing a task assigned to a company.
  • Completing a task assigned to a contact.

Completing a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item

To complete a task using the 'Tasks' main menu item:

  1. Navigate to Tasks from the main menu.
  2. Select one of the following menu items:

    • My Tasks
    • All Tasks

    Selecting My Tasks lets you view all tasks assigned to you while selecting All Tasks lets you view tasks assigned to all users.

  3. Select the task you want to complete.
  4. Use the toggle to update the task's status to 'Completed.'

Completing a task assigned to a company

To complete a task assigned to a company:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu
  2. Select Companies.
  3. Find the company whose task you want to complete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the company's Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to complete.
  6. Use the toggle to update the task's status to 'Completed.'

Completing a task assigned to a contact

To complete a task assigned to a contact:

  1. Navigate to the CRM from the main menu.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Find the contact whose task you want to complete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the contact's Tasks tab.
  5. Select the task you want to complete.
  6. Use the toggle to update the task's status to 'Completed'.
