SendGrid Integration

Last updated on April 11, 2026.

SendGrid is a robust, cloud-based platform that provides secure and scalable email infrastructure, managing the complex delivery process. Hence, your company's emails consistently reach customers without being flagged as spam. While your basic system can struggle with large volumes, SendGrid uses its scale and expertise to manage your sender reputation: it acts like a dedicated, trusted courier service recognized by all major email providers. This system is essential for reliably sending critical messages like password resets, order confirmations, and marketing updates, providing detailed reports on who opened what, and saving you the time and expense of running and protecting your complex email server.

You can leverage SendGrid by integrating it with your Instance. To perform the integration:

  1. Create an API key in SendGrid.
  2. Navigate to Integrations from the main menu.
  3. Select SendGrid.
  4. Select Connect SendGrid Account.
  5. Enter your API Key in the form that appears.
  6. Select CONNECT ACCOUNT.

Here is the table displaying the input requirements and descriptions for integrating your Instance with SendGrid:

Removing a custom SendGrid account

If you no longer want to use your own SendGrid account, you can remove it and revert to the default Insites SendGrid account.

To remove a custom SendGrid account:

  1. Navigate to Integrations from the main menu.
  2. Select SendGrid.
  3. Select REMOVE on your connected SendGrid account.

After removal, emails will be sent through the default Insites SendGrid account, subject to the monthly volume limits of your instance plan.
