Managing Users

This document guides you in managing your users, such as viewing authorised users and adding or editing authorised users.

Prerequisites

You first need to configure a repository for your Instance before you can start adding and managing users. Please refer to our relevant documentation for more details:

View authorised users

To view the users authorised to make changes to the Instance via the Version Control Layer (VCL):

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Version Control. This action takes you to a page where all authorised users are displayed on a list.

Adding an authorised user

To add an authorised user:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Version Control.
  3. Press the ADD USER button. This action takes you to a form that you can use to fill out with a user's details.
  4. Fill out the form with the correct details and press AUTHORISE USER.

Editing an authorised user

To edit an authorised user:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Version Control. This action takes you to a page where all authorised users are displayed on a list.
  3. Find the user whose credentials you want to edit and click on its Edit row action link.
  4. Make your changes and click SAVE.

Archiving an authorised user

You can archive users and reactivate them later, should you choose to do so. To archive an authorised user:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Version Control. This action takes you to a page where all authorised users are displayed on a list.
  3. Find the user you want to archive and click on its Archive row action link.
  4. Click ARCHIVE USER on the confirmation modal.

Deleting an authorised user

To delete an authorised user:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Version Control. This action takes you to a page where all authorised users are displayed on a list.
  3. Find the user you want to delete and click on its Delete row action link.
  4. Type 'DELETE' on the confirmation modal that appears and then click the DELETE USER button to finalise user deletion.
