The 'Date' field type has a single UI element option called 'Date.' The system displays the following conditional field when you select the 'Date' UI element:

Mandatory Toggle No When enabled, a date must be selected to save the record. When disabled, the field may be left blank.

In addition, the system displays the following form input requirements in the 'Date' UI element's 'Appearance' tab:

Sortable in table view Toggle No Enables administrators to organize records chronologically by clicking the column header.
Help Text (Tooltip) Text Area No Informational text that appears on hover; use this to specify required date formats or localization (e.g., DD/MM/YYYY).
Column Width in table view (%) Number Field No Specifies the horizontal space the date column occupies in the table view (1–100%).
