The following UI elements are available for the 'String' field type:

  • Card Select*
  • Code
  • Color
  • HTML
  • Input
  • Link
  • Markdown
  • Multi - Line
  • Phone
  • Radio*
  • Select*

The system displays the following additional field for all of the above UI elements:

Input LabelTypeRequiredDescription
Mandatory Toggle No Allows you to specify whether a user must provide an input or if the field can be optional.

UI elements marked with an asterisk (*) have additional options discussed in subsequent subsections.

Card Select

This UI element allows users to add a card select UI element to the Instance. Selecting this option displays the following fields and options in addition to the 'Mandatory' toggle field:

Value Input Field Yes Value of the card select option.
Content Input Field Yes Content of the card select option.

In addition, the system displays the following fields for the form in the 'Appearance' tab:

Show in table view Toggle No Toggle used to make the field visible or invisible in table view.
Searchable in table view Toggle No Toggle used to make the field searchable or not searchable in table view.
Sortable in table view Toggle No Toggle used to make the field sortable or not sortable in table view.
Help Text (Tooltip) Text Area No Help text to assist users in utilizing the field correctly.
Column Width in table view (%) Number Field No Column width of the field in percent when in table view. You may use values between 1-100.

Code

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Code' UI element are as follows:

Color

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Color' UI element are similar to those detailed in the 'Card Select' UI element.

HTML

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'HTML' UI element are as follows:

Input

Link

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Link' UI element are similar to those detailed in the 'Card Select' UI element.

Markdown

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Markdown' UI element are similar to those detailed in the 'HTML' UI element.

Multi - Line

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Multi-Line' UI element are similar to those detailed in the 'HTML' UI element.

Phone

The input requirements displayed in the 'Appearance' tab for the 'Phone' UI element are similar to those detailed in the 'Card Select' UI element.

Radio

Selecting the 'Radio' UI element displays the following field in addition to the 'Mandatory' toggle field:

Select

This UI element allows users to add a select UI element to the Instance. Selecting this option displays the following fields and options:
