Form Code

Last updated on August 01, 2024.

While the Form Builder enables you to build forms quickly and efficiently, it also gives you the flexibility to customize the underlying form code - a rare capability among form builders.

The ability to customize the form code significantly extends the Form Builder's functionality, enabling the building and testing of custom features, leading to considerable reductions in development lead times. Alternatively, you can transfer the form code to your preferred IDE to develop your project further.

The input for generating the form code is displayed in the table below:

Note

Please refer to our documentation on Managing Forms for more information on generating and using the form code within your Instance.

Generating the Form Code

Generating the form code refers to building the underlying code of the form you have configured using the Form Builder.

To generate the form code:

  1. Finalise your form configuration on the Form Builder.
  2. Go to the 'Form Code' tab.
  3. Select GENERATE FORM CODE.
Important

Please take note of the following important reminders:

  • You need to generate the form code first before you can save the form you are creating.
  • When you modify the form code and then save the form, the changes are applied on the front end. However, if you subsequently edit the same form and then regenerate the form code, the system overwrites your previous customizations to produce a form that aligns with the inputs made in the Form Builder.
