Managing Quotes

Insites enables you to manage your Ecommerce quotes. The following topics are discussed:

  • Updating a quote

Updating a quote

To update a quote's details:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote whose details you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Locate the 'Quote Details' section, then select EDIT.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Managing items

This section includes the following topics:

  • Adding an item
  • Updating an item
  • Deleting an item

Adding an item

To add an item to a quote:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add an item and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Select ADD ITEM, and select the type of item to add to the quote. The following options are available:
    • Custom Line Item
    • Ecommerce Product
  6. Fill out the form for adding an item to the quote. You can refer to the Items section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD ITEM.

Updating an item

To update an item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the item you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Select the item you want to update.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Deleting an item

To delete an item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the item you want to delete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Find the item you want to delete and select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Delete Item.
  7. Finalize the deletion of the item using the confirmation modal.

Managing discounts

This section includes the following topics:

  • Adding a discount
  • Updating a discount

Adding a discount

To add a discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add a discount and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Select ADD DISCOUNT, and select the type of discount to add to the quote. The following options are available:
    • Custom Discount
    • Ecommerce Discount
  6. Fill out the form for adding a discount to the quote. You can refer to the Discounts section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD DISCOUNT.

Updating a discount

To update a discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the discount you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Select the discount you want to update.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Deleting a discount

To delete a discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the discount you want to delete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Find the discount you want to delete and select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Delete Discount.
  7. Finalize the deletion of the discount using the confirmation modal.

Managing contacts

This section includes the following topics:

Adding a contact

To add a contact:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add a contact and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Contacts' tab.
  5. Select ADD CONTACT, and select the type of contact to add to the quote. The following options are available:
    • Custom Contact
    • CRM Contact
  6. Fill out the form for adding a contact to the quote. You can refer to the Contacts section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD CONTACT.

Updating a contact

To update a contact:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the contact you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Contacts' tab.
  5. Select the contact's EDIT link.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Managing shipping information

This section includes the following topics:

  • Adding shipping information
  • Updating shipping information
  • Deleting shipping information

Adding shipping information

To add shipping information:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add shipping information and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Shipping' tab.
  5. Find the type of shipping information you want to add to the quote, then select CREATE or ADD. You can add the following types of shipping information:
    • Shipping Packages
    • Shipping Company
    • Shipping Contact
    • Shipping Address
  6. Fill out the form for adding shipping information to the quote. You can refer to the Shipping section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD or CREATE to save the shipping information to the quote.

Updating shipping information

To update shipping information:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the shipping information you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Shipping' tab.
  5. Select the shipping information you want to update.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Deleting shipping information

To delete shipping information:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the shipping information you want to delete and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Shipping' tab.
  5. Find the shipping information you want to delete and select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Delete.
  7. Finalize the deletion of the shipping information using the confirmation modal.

Managing billing information

This section includes the following topics:

Adding billing information

To add billing information to the quote:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add billing information and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Billing' tab.
  5. Find the type of billing information you want to add to the quote and select ADD. The following options are available:
    • Billing Company
    • Billing Contact
    • Billing Address
  6. Fill out the form for adding billing information to the quote. You can refer to the Billing section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD.

Updating billing information

To update billing information:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the billing information you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Billing' tab.
  5. Select the billing information you want to update.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Managing custom fields

You can use the 'Custom Fields' tab to update the custom fields used by the quote. To update custom fields:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the custom field you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Custom Fields' tab.
  5. Select EDIT.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Managing notes

This section includes the following topics:

Adding a note

To add a note to your quote:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote to which you want to add notes and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Notes' tab.
  5. Select ADD QUOTE NOTE
  6. Fill out the form for adding notes to the quote. You can refer to the Notes section in the 'Creating a Quote' document for the input requirements
  7. Select ADD QUOTE NOTE.

Updating a note

To update a note:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote containing the note you want to update and select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Notes' tab.
  5. Select EDIT.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select SAVE.

Deleting a quote

Deleting a quote removes the quote and its associated items and discounts, among other data, from the Instance. To delete a quote:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Quotes.
  3. Find the quote you want to delete, then select its Delete row action link.
  4. Finalize the deletion of the quote using the confirmation modal.
