Databases Introduction

Last updated on June 26, 2024.

Databases are used to persist and store data on Insites. Databases are made out of Database Tables which in turn consist of Database Fields. A unit of data that is stored in a table, otherwise known as a 'table row' is called a 'Database Item' on Insites.

Databases allow you to build highly-customised features and store data that can be accessed in the future. You can also build constraints into your tables, allowing you to control the type of data that can be entered into the system.
