The Insites Form Builder enables you to build forms for your Instance using the Instance Admin. You can then use the forms anywhere in your application and allow users to enter data into the system.
For example, suppose you are building a member portal and wish to collect user sign-up information; the initial step involves creating a database containing the desired fields for your form. Once the database is created, the next task is to create a form that corresponds to this database. It is important to note that your database can include additional fields not necessarily mirrored on the form. These extra fields might serve internal purposes, safeguarding certain data from public access, such as information about the member portal's account manager.
Upon form submission, a new database item is generated. Depending on your application's requirements, you can configure actions, such as sending emails and SMS autoresponders, triggering workflow emails, or initiating a webhook.
