Follow a teammate Beta

Last updated 4 November 2026

Click a chip to jump to a teammate's screen and keep moving with them.

What following does

Team collaboration is pre-release. This page was written against the build of 4 November 2026 and will be revised at release.

Click a teammate's chip in the header and your admin jumps to the screen that person is on. From then on you move with them: each time they open another screen, yours opens it too. A Following pill at the top of the window shows who you are following.

The pill stays at the top of the window while you follow.

Starting and stopping

  • Start by clicking the person's chip in the header. Your own chip is not clickable.
  • Stop by clicking Stop on the pill, clicking the chip again, or pressing Escape.
  • Following also stops on its own when the person leaves the admin.

When it is useful

  • A guided walkthrough. On a call, say follow me and have everyone click your chip. You lead; every screen you open opens for them, and your pointer shows exactly what you mean.
  • Helping with a problem. A teammate says a screen looks wrong. Click their chip, land where they are, and look at it together.
  • Onboarding. A new administrator follows you through a task once, watching each screen as you narrate, before doing it themselves.

What following will not do

Following moves you between screens. That is all it does, on purpose.

  • You cannot bring people to your screen. Following is something each person chooses: you go to them by clicking their chip, and they come to you only by clicking yours. There is no way to pull, summon or copy teammates to where you are.
  • It never acts for you. It does not open drawers, fill in fields, click buttons, scroll or save. If the person you follow opens a record to edit it, you stay on the screen behind it; open the record yourself and the already-editing warning appears.
  • You see the admin as yourself. You stay signed in as you, with your own permissions. Following someone never shows you anything your own role could not open.
  • The person is not told. Being followed shows nothing and changes nothing for them. If you want them to know, say so.
  • One instance at a time. You cannot follow someone into a different instance. If they switch instances, following ends.
  • It starts from now. Following picks up from the screen they are on at that moment. It does not replay where they have been.
  • It can pause with them. If the person switches to another browser tab or loses their connection, you stay on their last screen until they are back.
