Live cursors Beta

Last updated 4 November 2026

See your teammates' pointers, with their names, on a shared admin screen.

What live cursors are for

Team collaboration is pre-release. This page was written against the build of 4 November 2026 and will be revised at release.

When you and a teammate are on the same admin screen, you see each other's mouse pointer, labeled with the person's name in their color. On a call, one of you can say this field here and point at it, instead of describing where it is. The pointer moves as they move, with no delay you would notice.

A form with three fields. A teammate's pointer labeled Ana rests on the second field Company name Industry Ana
Ana's pointer, in her color, shows which field she means.

How it works

  • You see a teammate's pointer only when you are both on the same screen. On different screens, you see nothing of each other's pointers.
  • The label shows the person's name in the same color as their chip in the header, so you can tell people apart at a glance.
  • The pointer disappears when the teammate moves their mouse out of the browser window or leaves the screen. If they switch to another browser tab, their pointer stays where they left it until they come back.
  • Positions are matched to the admin layout, so a pointer over a field on their screen is over the same field on yours, even when your windows are different sizes. If one of you has scrolled a panel much further than the other, a pointer can sit a little off its target.

Sharing a screen on a call

  1. Both open the same screen in the admin. Or click the other person's chip to follow them there.
  2. Point at the field, row or button you are talking about. The other person sees your pointer with your name.
  3. When one of you opens a record to make the change, the other sees the already-editing warning if they open the same record.

Privacy

Pointers are shared only with administrators of the same instance who are on the same screen as you, and only while you are both there. Pointer positions are not recorded. Nothing you type is shared: live cursors show where a pointer is, not what is in a field.
