Add administrators

Invite the people who should sign in to the admin.
Administrators are the people who can sign in to the admin of your instance. You invite them from the admin itself, and they get an email with a link. This guide invites one person and shows what to do when the email does not arrive or the address is already in use. You need to be an administrator of the instance.
Note
People in your Console account who hold the Viewer role or above can already sign in to the admin of every instance in the account; see Roles and Permissions. The invitation on this page is for someone outside the account, who should reach this one instance only.
Invite the person
- In the admin, go to Settings > Administrators. The list opens on active administrators; use the Status filter to see people who are Invited or Disabled.
- Select Invite Administrator. On an empty list the button reads Add Administrator.
- Fill in First Name, Last Name and Email. Phone is optional. Insites saves every email address in lowercase.
- Select Invite. You see Administrator added. The invitation email is on its way.
The person appears in the list as Invited until they accept. If the email could not be sent, the message says so and why; the administrator is still added, so fix the cause and resend.
If the email address is already in use
- An active administrator has it. The form says the email has already been taken, and nothing changes.
- A disabled administrator has it. Insites offers to enable that account. Select Enable Administrator, then resend the invitation.
- Another record has it, for example a contact. Insites asks whether to make that record an administrator. Set as Administrator accepts, and overwrites the record's details with what you typed.
Resend an invitation
Set the Status filter to Invited, open the row's actions and choose Resend Invitation. You can also open the administrator and select Resend Invitation there.
When someone leaves
Open the administrator and select Disable. They can no longer sign in, and you can restore them later. Deleting removes them for good. Check the list from time to time: see Review who has access.
