Change site-wide text
Last updated 4 November 2026
Your company name, contact details and social links in one place.
Globals hold the details that appear all over your site: your company name, slogan, logos, contact emails, social links, locations and PO boxes. Set them once under CMS, and every page that shows them updates when you change a value. This guide fills them in and shows one on a page.
What globals hold
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Company Details | Company name, ID, slogan, URL, two emails, business registration, logos and icons |
| Emails | The logo and alternate logo used in emails |
| Social Links | Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and two other links |
| Locations | Up to five locations, each with an address, contact details and opening hours |
| PO Boxes | PO box numbers and addresses |
Note
You cannot add your own fields to globals. For other shared text, use a partial, or a database when editors need to change it often.
Set the values
- In the admin, go to CMS > Globals.
- Choose a tab, for example Company Details, select Edit, fill in the fields and save. Upload the logo you put in Assets in the last guide.
- Do the same on Emails and Social Links.
Show a value on a page
Each tab has a Toolbox beside the form. Select a field name in it to copy the tag for that value, then paste the tag into a page, partial or layout where the value should appear. The page also needs one line that loads the globals; put it in your layout and every page that uses the layout has them. The line and a worked footer example are in Change site-wide text with globals.
From then on, editing a field under Globals changes it everywhere it is shown.
