Managing carts

This section includes the following topics:

Viewing a cart

To view a cart:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart you want to view, then select its View row action link.

Updating a cart

To update a cart:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart you want to update, then select its View row action link.
  4. Select EDIT link in the 'Cart Details' section.
  5. Make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Managing cart items

Adding a cart item

To add a cart item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart to which you want to add an item, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Select ADD ITEM.
  6. Fill out the form for adding a cart item.
  7. Select SAVE.

The input requirements for adding a cart item are as follows:

Input Label Type Required Description
Product Dropdown Field Yes The base product to be added to the cart. This option dynamically populates the available variant options.
Product Variants Dropdown Field Yes The specific SKU (e.g., size or color) for the selected product. This field is required only when multiple versions of a product exist.
Quantity Number Field Yes The number of units to be added. This value directly influences line-item totals and inventory availability checks.

Updating a cart item

To update a cart item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart containing the item you want to update, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Select the item you want to update and make your changes.
  6. Select SAVE.

Deleting a cart item

To delete a cart item:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart containing the item you want to delete, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Items' tab.
  5. Find the item you want to delete, then select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Delete Item.
  7. Finalize the deletion of the cart item using the confirmation modal.

Managing cart discounts

Adding a cart discount

To add a cart discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart to which you want to add a discount, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Select ADD DISCOUNT.
  6. Fill out the form for adding a cart discount.
  7. Select ADD DISCOUNT.

The input requirements for adding a cart discount are as follows:

Select Discount Dropdown Field No Discount to be added to the cart.

Updating a cart discount

To update a cart discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart whose discount you want to update, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Find the discount you want to update, then select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Edit Discount.
  7. Make your changes.
  8. Select SAVE.

Deleting a cart discount

To delete a cart discount:

  1. Navigate to Ecommerce from the main menu.
  2. Select Carts.
  3. Find the cart whose discount you want to delete, then select its View row action link.
  4. Navigate to the 'Discounts' tab.
  5. Find the discount you want to delete, then select its overflow menu ().
  6. Select Delete Discount.
  7. Finalize the cart discount deletion using the confirmation modal.
