Stripe Overview

Stripe is a financial platform that provides tools and APIs for taking payments, from credit and debit cards to subscriptions and global transactions. Insites connects to your Stripe account so you can take payments on your instance without building the payment system yourself.

Insites stores your Stripe API keys, test and live. It then uses the Stripe API to create customers and cards, take payments, capture them, refund them and make transfers. Other Stripe features, such as Radar, Billing and the list of currencies you can charge, belong to your Stripe account. See Stripe's own documentation for those.
