Localisation

People in different locations write dates and times differently. For instance, in the United States, the month is typically written first, followed by the day, and then the year. Conversely, in Australia and the United Kingdom, the day is written first, followed by the month, and then the year.

Insites allows you to customize your localization settings according to your preferred date and time format for users within your Instance Admin. These customizations include setting your desired time zone and configuring Daylight Savings (1-hour adjustment) if needed. Additionally, you can use these localization settings as a foundation for implementing any specific logic on your Application as required.

To modify your localization settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
  2. Select Localization.
  3. Click on the EDIT link.
  4. Make your changes. Field descriptions are elaborated in their dedicated section within this article.
  5. Click SAVE.

You can modify the following settings:

  • Date Format
  • Time Format
  • Timezone
  • Daylight Savings

Date Format

Choose your preferred date format from the options listed in this dropdown field. The default value is .

Time Format

Choose between a 12-hr and a 24-hr format via the dropdown field. The default value is .

Timezone

Choose your preferred timezone from the options listed in the dropdown field. The default value for timezone is Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Daylight Savings

Use the toggle to apply Daylight Savings Time within your Instance Admin. The default value is .
