Viewing the Event Stream

Last updated on March 31, 2026.

The Event Stream timeline displays a chronological feed of all activity across your Instance. This article covers how to navigate, search, and filter the timeline.

Accessing the Event Stream

The primary Event Stream view is accessible from the Dashboard in your Instance Admin. The timeline displays the most recent events, with the newest at the top.

Timeline View

Each event in the timeline shows:

  • A colored icon indicating the event type or source module
  • A description of what happened, often with links to the related record
  • The date and time the event occurred
  • The administrator who performed the action (for internal events)

Click on any event to expand it and view the full details, including the structured data log if available.

Searching Events

Use the search bar at the top of the Event Stream to find events by keyword. The search matches against the event description field.

Filtering by Date

Use the date range pickers to filter events to a specific time period. Select a start date and end date to view only events that occurred within that range.

Per-Entity Event History

Many modules display an Event Stream tab when viewing a specific record. For example:

  • When viewing a Contact in CRM, the Event Stream tab shows all events related to that contact
  • When managing a Database in the Data module, the Event Stream tab shows database-level activity
  • When viewing a Database Item, the Event Stream tab shows actions performed on that specific record

This makes it easy to see the full history of any individual record without searching through the main timeline.

Pagination

The Event Stream displays events in pages. Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the timeline to navigate between pages of results.
