Instance History

Last updated on October 11, 2026

Modify and view History Logs for your Instance

The Overview tab of an instance has a Recent Activity card. It lists the five newest deploys and changes made to the instance, newest first.

Everyone who can open the instance can see the card.

Viewing Recent Activity

  1. Navigate to Instances from the main menu.
  2. Find the instance on the main page or inside a folder.
  3. Select the instance to open it. It opens on the Overview tab.
  4. Find the Recent Activity card.

What Each Row Shows

Each row shows when it happened, with a sentence under it saying who did what, and how. The time uses the date and time formats from your Settings.

KindThe Sentence Says
Deploy deployed from CloudShell, deployed with the Insites CLI, or deployed with a script
Change made a change from CloudShell, with the Insites CLI, or with a script
Asset upload uploaded an asset from CloudShell, with the Insites CLI, or with a script
Unreadable change made an unreadable GraphQL change from CloudShell, with the Insites CLI, or with a script

A change is anything other than a deploy, such as a record edit, a delete or an environment variable change.

The row names the Console user who made the change. If the Console cannot match them to a user, it shows Someone.

A deploy or change that failed has its icon marked in the error color. Screen readers announce it as failed.

When the Card Is Empty

If nothing has been deployed or changed yet, the card says Nothing recorded yet. Creating the instance is not listed as an entry, so a new instance starts empty.

If the Card Does Not Load

The card says Couldn’t load. Select Try again. This loads the card again without reloading the rest of the Overview tab.

Note: The card shows only the five newest entries. The Console does not have a full activity history for an instance yet.
